Hearts on Fire & Ice (WIP?)

Suggestion/request made by a friend of a friend: An icicle that's stabbing a heart on fire. Here's my initial take... Is there enough fire? Can there ever be enough? *ponders*

Just a practice speedpaint. Didn't quite get all the details in, but I managed to block in most of the model. I cheated a bit and sampled colors from the photo since I just wanted to practice painting muscles... Done in Photoshop, 35 minutes.

WIP: Water Mage

Had an idea for a mage using water to form a weapon in ice. Got frustrated with my initial pose, so I tried a different one to see how it would turn out. Not done yet; he's missing part of his leg in the second take and there are still some anatomy issues.

Done in Photoshop and Painter.
