I had no idea anyone really checked my blog! Cool stuff :)
Using the polygonal lasso tool to select the skin and clothes, then dump color in the selection to give me a base. Add a new layer, lower opacity of the brush and start painting colors on top (I'm using a limited pallet too). Sometimes I do a gaussian blur to soften the strokes.
